Poodles are one of the most intelligent canines and are perfect for families, couples or singles. They are excellent Therapy and Assistance Dogs. They also excell in Conformation, Agility, Dock Diving, Obedience, Flyball and Scent Work!

We are located in Newcastle, NSW and we are Registered Breeders (since 2002) with Dogs Australia BREMBURG #2100025327.

We are a boutique breeder and our dogs are our family. Our girls live in our home and have outstanding personalities. We only breed Standard Poodles of the highest Pedigree with an emphasis on health, temperament, longevity and vitality. The results are optimal health for your new companion.

We are members of Poodle Club NSW and associated with Certified Delta Trainers.

Our puppies are raised with “Puppy Culture”, Early Neurological Stimulation and Early Scent Introduction. They are dilligently solicialised and exposed to daily sounds and smells for the best start in life. We use “Traction Flooring” to avoid ligament damage and hip laxity while pups are with us.

All of our dogs are fed a Raw and Natural diet. Puppies are also weaned onto a Raw and Natural diet. We feed the microbiota in their gut with a tried and tested method which needs to be done during a window of time when the puppies are with the breeder. We introduce micro amounts of fermented vegetables and complex starches to set the pups gut health for the rest of it’s life.

Pups are Temperament Tested by Independant Breed Experts at 7 weeks. Some puppies will be Therapy or Support Dogs, some for Showing or Agility and some will be Companions. Pups will be matched with their new family after temperament testing has been completed.

When we don’t breed our Poodles until they are 2 years old, Clear by Parenatge and passed their extensive health testing to our satisfaction. They also have PennHip X-Ray, Elbow X-Ray, Physical Eye Examination, Thyroid Testing and more.

We utilise the latest Artificial Insemination techniques along with natural matings. We source only the best in breed standards for DNA, health and temperament tested Sires from around the world including, Australia, Canada, USA, New Zealand and Europe.

All pups are thouroughly health checked, vaccinated, wormed and microchipped by our very experienced Veterinarian before going to their new homes.

Standard Poodles Australia do not breed Doodles or offer pups with Breeding Rights under any circumstances.

IMPORTANT POINTS TO NOTE

  • Desexing through your own Vet is included in the puppy purchase price. We pay your Vet direct at the time of Desexing**.

  • All of our Pedigree pups are independently Temperament Tested by a qualified breed expert at 7-8 weeks of age.

  • A supply of Somerford Raw and Natural Food delivered to your door is also included in the purchase price***.

  • Families will receive lifetime support from Standard Poodles Australia (excluding veterinary advice).

  • 3 months of pet health insurance cover with all puppies.

  • We welcome personal visits and Facetime meetings by appointment to anyone considering a Standard Poodles Australia puppy.

  • Our vetting process starts with our online “Enquiry Form”, allowing us to assess an applicant’s home and living situation.

  • Puppies can be delivered anywhere in Australia or internationally. Standard Poodles Australia are experienced in exporting puppies internationally. Puppies exported will come with Certified Export Pedigree Certification from Dogs Australia (ANKC).

  • Our payment methods are secure and transparent.

  • Standard Poodles Australia do not offer puppies with breeding rights under any circumstances.

  • Dogs Australia Register: Limited Registration is provided with all puppies. Main Registration is available by request and will be marked ‘neuter’ for Showing in Classes 15, 16, 17 or 18.
